Back For Good...

I'm back at work today. With no hopes of any time off for a couple months. This time is a lot harder than the other times...little Ry-Ry really has a firm grip on my heart and my heart is hurting right now. I can't figure out what it is about this little guy that has captivated me so much more than the other two did.

It is also so hard not being able to play with the kids...to talk to them while they eat breakfast, to read to them, to watch TV with them. But on the flip side, it's also nice not having to figure out when I'm going to get something to eat, or how I'm going to take a shower if Ry-Ry is fussy.

I miss daytime TV :)

Thankfully I have found a fantastic nanny. She has already texted me a few times about how the kids are doing and it's only 9:15 AM!

I know that I will get through this...I know that after a few days or weeks I will be back to normal and it won't hurt so much to go to work.

I miss my kids :(

Well at least you know your kids are in good hands (and you're being updated regularly.

It's so hard to go back. I figure it probably gets harder with each one because now you know how quickly the time goes by.

However, before you know it you'll be back into your routine and it won't be as heart wrenching. Good luck and try to enjoy your first real day back.

First of all, welcome back.

I am totally with you on how hard it is to come back. I was completely different with Alyssa when I had to go back to work. It was soooooo much harder with her. I don't know if it was that I wasn't sure if I was going to have any more kids or what. It seems like watching her grow up has been so different than with Kaylie. Like I won't get to do it again. I hope that I will, though.

It was definitely harder going back to work with my third child. My two older kids are 25 months apart and 22 months between the youngest and oldest. I had six months off with my third and that made it especially hard to go back. It did get better.

However, I do admit I still question whether it is a good idea I'm working full-time. Part-time would be a better choice, but in my profession part-time work is very hard to find. Likewise, it is very hard to find a job like mine if I was to ever get out. I really enjoy my job so that makes it better.

Hang in there and enjoy every minute!! As I'm sure you know, it goes by way too quickly. :)

Oh it has to be so hard on you heading back to work. You have had some great quality time with the kids and now it's "withdrawal" Hopefully it will get easier for you and I am so glad you found a great nanny.
Hang in there.

Oh gosh....I can only imagine how hard it must have been to go back "for good". So happy, though, that you have a good nanny. I know you had your share of ups and downs with them last year. Good luck and I'll be saying a little prayer for you. (PS - If you didn't already know, I accidentally deleted my entire blog earlier this week. I am just sick about it. I have my original template back up but all of my 600+ posts/ 3+ years....GONE!) *ugh*
