What a fantastic weekend!!! I got to the scrap place, which thankfully was only about ½ hour away, Friday night ready to relax! We unloaded our stuff and then headed out to a local pizza place for dinner. After that we came back and started scrapping.
It was so relaxed, and there were about 50 people there and it was neat to see some of the people from the last crop there. We stayed up until about 12:00 and then headed up to bed.
We woke up and had breakfast and then went back to scrapping around 10:30. I also got to use a Cricut machine which was so cool! I’ve never used one of those before and now I will be purchasing one here very soon because it was so cool! It cuts letters and shapes and pictures out for you very quickly!
Around 1:30 we headed out for lunch. We also went to a local scrapbooking store. For lunch, we found this local Mexican restaurant that looked very shady and very non-authentic. We were very hesitant about eating there, but we noticed that it was packed at 2:30 in the afternoon…had to be a good sign, right? It definitely was worth the stop! The best food…sopapillas stuffed with beef, cheese and rice with lettuce and tomatoes on top. For dessert? A sopapilla stuffed with apples and topped with ice cream. The three of us had appetizer, big meal and desserts for a total of $30! You can’t beat that!
We then headed back and scrapped until about 11:30 when we broke for dinner :) After dinner we scrapped until around 2:30 AM. I woke up around 8:00 on Sunday and we had breakfast and scrapped again until around 1:30 when we had lunch and then I left. I really wanted to see the kids, my parents and my sister.
I had so much fun hanging out with my friends...we're pretty similar and it was fun to laugh at and with each other :)
I don’t have any pictures yet…I forgot to take them of my album, so I’ll have to try to do that tonight and post them tomorrow. I got all but about 2 pages done in my Disney album, so I feel like I accomplished a ton! And it was so fun reliving that trip!
The next one we’re planning is the annual weekend at my house…I started this last year where I kick my family out and all the girls come and stay with me for the whole weekend to scrap and eat and hang out. Hopefully by then we will have our Wii and my Cricut machine! So if any of you feel like a road trip to Ohio, you’re definitely invited :)

sounds like fun. i dont get to scrapping very much because i dont have hardly any tools and without someone to feed off of, i'm not always that creative. oh and i'm really hard on myself. i do have my husband's album pretty much full. its hard to figure out what else i can put in there, and what i can't... running out of pages, you see..
Oh that sounds like so much fun!! It's so nice to just get to hang with friends, relax AND accomplish something!
What a fun week end and almost done your album, wow, your creative juices were flowing for sure. I have never heard of that Circut machine but it sounds neat. Yeah and I thought I had all the latest scraping tools, guess not huh?
The food OMG here it is 7:30am and now you made me hungry!!! :)
Glad you had such a great and relaxing time.
Heck if I was closer I would head for your girls weekend and heck even bring my Wii, but darn too much country and mountains between us.
Anxious to see your pages!!
