It's Turkey Day It's Turkey Day!

Let the Thanksgiving celebrations begin! When we were little we used to sing "It's turkey day it's turkey day" over and over again.

At work today we are having our Thanksgiving luncheon. We get a turkey from the Honeybaked store and then each of us brought something else in (I brought cheesy corn pudding – I’ve never made it before…we’ll have to see how it tastes :) ). And today is my last day at work until Monday!!! Yipppeeee!

Tomorrow my mom and I will head to the grocery store and buy everything we need. We’ll also start cooking some of the stuff that needs cooked. I’m really looking forward to sleeping in a little and just relaxing!

On Thursday we’ll wake up and have homemade sticky buns (they are the best!) and watch the Macy’s parade. I’m sure hubby will bring home the projector so we’ll get to watch the big Macy’s parade on the wall! Then my mom and sisters and I will start cooking and just start enjoying the day. Hubby will be frying the turkey so I don’t have to worry about that part!

Friday we’ll head to the stores…but I’m not sure how early :) I need to look around and see what the deals will be to see if it’s worth it.

So what are all of you doing? Any special work parties? Any special Thanksgiving traditions?

I'm going home and Jimmy and Morgan are staying here. Odd, I know. My cousin is home from Iraq for two weeks so, that'll be a nice Holiday memory.

I LOVE deep fried turkeys. Seriously. Maybe I'll come to YOUR house instead??!!!

Enjoy your mini vaca from work :)

We usually have a big reunion on my dad's side for Thanksgiving, so we will be going to that as well as to Chris's aunt's house.

Enjoy your time off and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Great that you get Wednesday off as well!

This is the first year I'm not cooking the big meal - just the stuffing - but it is Max's first thanksgiving, so I am excited to spend the day with him and our extended family.

I'll be cooking the turkey, stuffing, rolls & veggie. My mom does the potato and my MIL the pies. Works for me - the turkey is easy - just stuff it and put it in the oven for a gazillion hours! We always watch the Macy's parade also - can't wait.

It's not Thanksgiving in Canada (we have ours in October), but yesterday I had the Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich at Starbucks for lunch. It was delish, say for too much mayo. Does that count??

I have never had fried turkey. I have GOT TO TRY FRIED TURKEY.

I make pumpkin pie and my husband acts like it's the best thing he's ever had. He lies so bad. :)
