I Spoke Too Soon

Here is the e-mail that I sent to my boss yesterday:

"Hi Boss,

I just wanted to let you know, assuming that no one in my family is sick between now and then, that I’m planning to take off the last two weeks of December (9 days). Hopefully we should close around December 15th or 18th and this way I can get us moved in and still have Christmas at my new house! Please let me know if this creates a conflict for any reason.

Thanks!"

Guess who's sick? ME. My throat hurts and I can't concentrate on anything because I'm spacey and my head hurts. But I refuse to take any days off between now and December 18, no matter what! OK, maybe if the kids were deathly ill, or throwing up...but luckily my parents will have them most of December, so I don't have to worry about the babysitter calling me and asking me to come and get them because they are still sick. I have a plan, and that plan is to take 9 days off at the end of the year and not have to go to work for 2 whole weeks!!!!

Don't mess with a woman with a plan!
