A Contest!!!

I was asked to review Joy Berry’s Taking the Scary Out of Halloween Kit. I was sent a kit and received it a couple of days ago and it is really neat! The kit includes the Taking the Scary Out of Halloween book, 10 safety guides for Halloween, “make and do” activities for costumes and make-up, simple Halloween night recipes, glow-in-the-dark stickers, glow whistle, glow necklace and bracelet, and a flashlight with Halloween-themed interchangeable lenses.

My kids love the flashlight and the book has some really neat tips for kids on how to be polite while trick-or-treating and staying safe.

I have been given an extra kit to give as a giveaway, so leave a comment and I’ll randomly select a winner on Friday!

This would be a fun gift for my daughter who turns 4 on Oct 25th and loves Trick or Treating.

Ok let me preface this by saying I don't have kids, but in the words by Sue (heard in the sneak preview from the Glee episode in 2 weeks) "the purpose of Halloween is fear" which is my motto this year.

Heehehee. Ok just kidding. I love that my little pumpkins will be safe! Don't pick me (obviously).

Where do you get this kit? I think it would be fun for the kids. We love doing Halloween crafts and making "scary" looking snacks and food. I'm not so sure about the whistle though :)

Now that kit is a perfect idea for all the kids. Halloween is supposed to be a fun safe night, not one to scare the beejeebees out of all the little ones. I like the old fashioned days when the kids when as cartoon characters, princesses, ghost , friendly of course, haha. Now days costumes are so real looking, so out priced and well instead of fun for kids it's scary. This kit you have is perfect, so glad you have one for your little ones!!

I am a teacher and this kit sounds like it would be perfect to use as part of a lesson before Halloween. To take the "scary" out of Halloween, our school has decided NO COSTUMES...it is wear orange and black day to celebrate instead.
