So it's been way too long since I updated, and while I understand why it has been so long, it makes me sad because this is my way of remembering, and so much happens everyday with the kids that I'm not recording anywhere.
Over the past month so much has happened...first, Colton was released from the hospital feeling so much better. He was doing so much better that I almost decided against going in to the pediatrician for a follow-up, but I ended up going in, and thank goodness I did! When she asked me how he was doing, I casually mentioned how fussy he had become. I blew it off, stating that I obviously know that babies go through fussy times, and at 6 weeks it made sense to me that he was entering a new phase. She asked me some questions and explained that he could have silent reflux, which is reflus without the usualy symptoms (spitting up, only being able to be upright, etc.). By the next day he was so miserable and screaming his head off that I called in and she was able to call-in a prescription for Zantac and his has been a new baby since then! We have had to up his dosage once and I think he may be due for that again, but outside of that, he's doing so well!
Along with feeling better, Colton has also been smiling and today, for the first time, I was able to get him laughing by tickling him :) He has gotten so big - long not fat, which is so unusual for my kids!
In other family news, our wonderful nanny that we have had for the past 7 months moved away last weekend :( It was really hard for all of us since we had gotten so attached to her (especially since I had been spending so much time with her since I'd been home). Thankfully, yesterday we hired our new nanny whom I am super excited about! The kids love her and I truly hope and pray that everything works out since I have to go back to work in 2 weeks :(
This week is spring break for the kids, so I'm excited about not having to get up so early so that I can be ready to go when the kids wake up...we can all sleep-in and have lazy days with no where that we have to go.
I think that's it for the updates for now...I truly hope that I can be better about updating and I will try to get some more pictures up!

There you are! I've been getting worried.
So relieved to read Colton is doing so much better. Reflux is horrible--both of my kids suffered with it (Jonah is still on Zantac twice a day). The meds truly do make all the difference.
Sorry your nanny left. I hope this new one stays for the next 10 years. You guys certainly have had more than your fair share of caregivers to replace.
Well so glad to hear the Zantac is helping Colton, poor lil guy a rocky start but hey the giggling is genuine now cause mommy made sure is his AOK and now growing and loving life!! Aww so neat to know his mommy is on the ball, I am with Colton, smiling and giggling over her great health and happiness.
Glad you are excited about your new nanny and I too like Kellie hope this one stays for the next 10 yrs,see w/ both of us hoping for that, yep it will happen!!!
Spring break and sleeping in, aw see life is good.
Missed your blogs but knew you were busy, and with the updates on Colton, dang this thing would not let me write a comment, but trust me I have been thinking of you!!
